Practical Musicianship is a broad concept that covers a complex range of musical abilities. Loosely defined as the ability to ‘think in sound’. This occurs when a musician is able to produce music which they perceive internally and in the imagination, whether through playing by ear, singing, reading from notation, or through improvisation. Practical Musicianship is an important part of training our Maestros, and is a brilliant alternative to ABRSM Grade 5 theory.

"My 7 year-old daughter has had a great first year of piano lessons with Claire. She looks forward to them with great enthusiasm every week and is very motivated to practise (on her own!) in between. I would highly recommend Claire. Thank you!"
